SIL

SCHADS

NDIA
National Disability Insurance Agency — the government agency responsible for implementing the NDIS.
NDIS Commission
NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission — the independent body that regulates NDIS providers and handles complaints.
Support Coordinator
A funded role that helps NDIS participants understand their plan, connect with providers, and build capacity.
Plan Manager
A provider that manages the financial aspects of an NDIS plan, processing invoices and making payments on behalf of participants.
Restrictive Practices
Any practice or intervention that restricts the rights or freedom of movement of a person with disability. Subject to strict reporting requirements.
PRODA
Provider Digital Access — the authentication system used to access NDIS online services and submit claims.
Core Supports
NDIS funding category covering daily activities, consumables, social and community participation, and transport.
Capacity Building
NDIS funding category for supports that help participants build skills and independence over time.
Capital Supports
NDIS funding category for higher-cost items like assistive technology, equipment, and home modifications.
